RELEASE AND LIABILITY

As the legal parent or guardian, you release and hold harmless, Purple Monkey, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of Purple Monkey owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises. That said we do take your child's safety seriously.

GUESTS ARE WELCOME!

If you would like or need to bring a sibling or friend to class, please just let me know ahead of time and there will be a $25 fee.

 

FAMILY VACATION POLICY

 If you know you are going away sometime while you are taking art class and The Studio is told BEFORE class begins we can subtract the class(s) from your total expense.

 

BEHAVIOR POLICY & STUDIO ETIQUETTE

The Studio expects all of our students to behave properly at all times, both while in class and on our premises. Should a student act in a manner deemed inappropriate in any way, the teacher has the right to immediately dismiss them from the class. Ongoing behavioral issues will be reported to the parents and handled on a case-by-case basis. Students will only allow back into class at the discretion of the instructor.

 

CELL PHONE POLICY

Cell phones must be turned off or put on silent mode during class. If a parent needs to contact their child in case of an emergency, please call The Studio.

 

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION

All classes must be paid in full and registeration form filled out to have their spot saved.   

 

FULL/CANCELLED CLASSES

You may want to contact us ahead of time at (617) 877-6998 or email purplemonkeyartstudio@gmail.com confirm that space is available in your desired class session.  In order for classes to take place a minimum of 4 students is required. If a class is not filled, you will get a full refund. If your class is filled, you can ask to be placed on a wait list and if an opening occurs the classes will be filled from the waiting list. You will be notified if your class is cancelled.

 

WAITING LISTS

If a workshop or class is full, interested students may sign up on a waiting list. No registration fee or deposit is required to be on the waiting list. Students are notified of openings in the order they sign up on the waiting list. When students are notified of openings, they must pay the registration fee and tuition, or they will lose their place on the list.

 

IF THE CLASS IF FILLED, OPTION

With a minimum number of 4 students, we can hold a class at another time of the week to accommodate your schedule. Please feel free to suggest a time that will work for you.

 

PAYMENT

Cash or check can be made out to: Purple Monkey Art Studio and mailed to 11 Upton Street, Halifax, MA 02338.  Class must be paid in full one week prior to class start.   No tuition refunds will be given once the session has begun.  A $30 collection fee will be charged for all returned checks.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

ALL cancellations must be made in writing. There are no exceptions. You may mail a letter, or send an email to purplemonkeyartstudio@gmail.com  to cancel your spot in a workshop. Cancellations cannot be accepted over the phone. You will receive a Drop Notice by email or mail (if no email address is provided).

 

MISSED CLASS

There is no make up classes.

 

CLASS SCHEDULE CHANGE

Purple Monkey reserves the right to cancel or modify a workshop or class, or substitute instructors at any time. Full refunds will be issued if a class cancels. Purple Monkey reserves the right to require the withdrawal of any student whose conduct is deemed detrimental to the class environment. Days, times and/or age requirements are subject to change.

 

TRANSFER POLICY

If there is space in a class, you can transfer at anytime with no additional charges.

 

AGE POLICY

Children must meet age requirements prior to start of program.

 

WEATHER

In the case of inclement weather, please call the studio at 617-877-6998 to determine if class will be held.

 

PUBLICITY WAIVER

Unless informed otherwise, Purple Monkey will consider photographs taken of students in the school and of their artwork to be permissible for publication in class informational publications, including the web.

 

SIBLING CLASS EXCEPTION POLICY- ALLOWING SIBLINGS TO BE IN THE SAME CLASS WHEN ONE CHILD IS EITHER TOO YOUNG OR TOO OLD

If a parent prefers due to scheduling they want all their children in one class, I will take it into consideration.  If there is a class where one child is a year or two off from the age requirements, please call me to discuss the possiblity of me including both children in one class. To be considered: the children need to keep up with the class and have very similar skill set.  The entire child will be looked at so they are put in class that they will enjoy and have sucesses in. Not all requests will be approved.  The request needs to be submitted to me in writing either by mail or email.
