MEET THE ARTIST TEACHER
Robin B. Glazer Artist Statement
Robin shows and sells her artwork in local Massachusetts art shows.
Artists often are drawn to subjects that have a strong emotional appeal. I aspire to push my artistic talents to their limits. What inspires me is the nature, landscapes, human figure, design, and color. I like my art to translate into something positive, inspirational, and engaging. My art work is developed from shapes, forms, and textures like those that buildings create against the sky or in relationship to each other.
The historical references that influence my artistic styles and themes are found in Georgia O'Keefe, Paul Klee, Marc Chagall, Alberto Giacometti, Henry Moore, and Romare Bearden, and contemporary artists Ursula Von Rydingsvard, Dale Chilhuly, and Mark Bradford. Examining art produced over centuries has given me the resources, knowledge, and insight to become a well rounded artist. They have all influenced me to look at art more broadly, while teaching me how art can be realistic as well as abstract.
The study of art presents me with opportunities to express my own values and beliefs. Working in both 2D and 3D venues, I often work feverishly to open my mind and to explore all of my artistic possibilities. Through my work I want to tap into unlimited well of my imagination and express it. My contemporary work lends itself to differing interpretations and emotions. The purpose of my artistic journey is to search within myself and the environment around me and to make what I have discovered real. Please email if you are interested in learning more.
