The Best Artist Make the Most Mistakes!

One of my biggest motto's is the "The Best Artist Make the Most Mistakes!" I always ask the kids, "Why do the best artist make the most mistakes?". They give good guesses. The answer has never been guessed in ten years though. When kids make mistakes instead of getting mad need to realize making any mistake in art, just like in life, teaches you something. The more mistakes the more you learn and the better the art. I found a fabulous book that teaches this too. The book Beautiful Oops. This is a great book to give to artists of all ages! I will keep it forever even when I stop teaching because it reminds us all how a mistake can become something fabulous!
